Tycho Flore
born 15.11.1962 in Amsterdam
lives in Belgium and Holland
works everywhere
work experience and education as sculptor and restorer in Amsterdam
graduated from the art academy in Maastricht, 1991.
I work with all types of stone
including granite, marble and limestone,
and find my inspiration in the surface, skin and form of the world of nature.
The content of my work concerns the symbolism, history and meaning surrounding human existence.
Mnemosyne
is the mother of the muses,
and her name means memory cave.
The memory cave is visited for inspiration and contemplation.
In the ancient world, the muses were the goddesses of the arts,
and the source of inspiration for creators.
Art has its origins in the interaction between dream and reality.
