graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1990

living and working in the Benelux since 1991

her work has been exhibited in numerous venues in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, Geneva, New York City and Maastricht.

 

In my work I often combine an abstract element, pattern or symbol, with materials or techniques that relate to a more directly experienced reality.

What results from this union is what you can perhaps call a work of art;

in any case, it is another kind of object with its own set of rules.

No longer just an idea, but also not simply a substance, this new form inhabits a world where opposing elements unite to create concrete abstractions, materials in metaphor.
